SW Illinois
test tonight shows 47 down, 6 up and 20ms latency.

This is going through the starlink incoming system, a router, 300ft buried cable, an ethernet switch, then a 2nd wifi router. this network is also used for a local camera system, 3 offices, a house, and our hog barn controller. so it has a decent amount of traffic all day.

The set up time is however long it takes to run the cable and mount a pipe to the wall. very easy to do if you just need a basic wifi and router set up. It will not let you do any advanced network controls like static IP addresses. you would have to set the starlink router into bypass mode, then add your own router/network gear after that.

internet will start working within 10 minutes of turning it on. Will be a little sporadic the first week. Had one 5 minute interval where severe rain ruined the signal, and one morning where the entire starlink network was down. This is over the last 2 years. $120/month. It has been faster and more reliable the the local wireless companies coming off the water towers.

it actually speed tests better than the DSL line at my house in town.
