Northern Illinois | I think what is missing in some of the posts concerning estate planning is lack of communication between parents and children.
I think parents must discuss their plans with their children especially their farming children who may have assumptions about their estate. Do this so there are no surprises.
Agree with the not controlling from the grave. Our attorney stressed that at some point you have to trust that you raised wise children.
When my father started farming getting the farm was a curse and a lifetime of hard work. Now getting the farm is a blessing. | |
