Subject: RE: too many calories in my bread

Pittsburg, Kansas
I used to think a meal without potatoes wasn't any meal at all. Now once in a while I will have a taste for one reason or another and can't imagine what I saw in them. It is not that they taste bad, just nothing special.

They were just a cheap way to fill a spot temporarily in the belly.

Growing up meat was always the focus of a meal. We had veggies and stuff, but the meat was always the main focus. But that was 60 years ago before all the fuss about animal fats and cholesterol.
