The main reason for additives is the lube pkg.
With the sulfur out, you have to add something
especially with common rail engines.
Next is 10- 5 micron filters and keeping the water out.
The old school diesels could run chunky style fuel....
If you are seeing more fuel related breakdowns
you need to look hard at your fuel.
The final fuel filter on all Deere HPCR equipped engines for roughly the last 15 years is a 2 micron filter.
This newer stuff needs clean, water free fuel, or it won't last. |
