NW IA | I can't offer a path to a low calorie bread.
I will say that when I followed "DR. Burns" down the insulin resistance rabbit hole I thought my life was over if bread and taters were kicked off the table.
I don't think I've had bread in 4-5 years. I have tried potatoes. I don't ever think about bread, and the taste of potatoes left me wondering what the fuss was about in the first place; bland and tasteless, so I just put the butter on a T-bone instead.
Bread being a "hot" highly refined carb I'm sure a few days of consistent dosing would re-fire the dopamine inferno and get me back to the SAD where I belong*.
My humble opinion, but avoiding standard bread altogether may well reduce the appetite for most categories of sweet stuff. | |
