Trying many different computers and adaptors might get it to link up with one, if the connector is bad or a cracked solder joint hapoens to line up with the movement.
In the old days freezing a hard drive sometimes got it to work one time when you took it out of the freezer but that was mostly a mechanical deal; could affect the solid state bits enough to make it work, doesn’t cost anything to give it a try.
