Shoot just saw this. I hate handling granular insecticide and the risks associated with it. I hate digging in the rows that have insecticide applied to them due to exposure issues. Foliar wise we use them but only when IPM dictates the use. In WI we have much less need for that stuff compared to our southern neighbors. Prophylactic use is bad too since it kills so many beneficial insects.


I wondered if you weren't hinting at handling and application. I might have some third year continuous sweet corn going forward and when I'm doing the early plantings under plastic it's pretty hard to not be rolling around in it. I understand the killing the good with the bad, I've had some fun character building experiences trying to kill spider mites and ending up with aphid farm. Thanks again
