Pittsburg, Kansas | That is pretty wild.
They didn't have to restrain me but Carolynn said it was quickly coming to that till she convinced a nurse to help me try to stand. She said once I got to make the attempt, I was satisfied.
It was during covid. She had grabbed one pair of underwear and put in her purse before driving two hours to the hospital in Springfield Missouri where the life flight took me after Pittsburg hospital said they couldn't handle the trauma. She would not leave my room for fear they would not allow her back in the room because of covid. After about two or three days a nurse figured out what she was doing and why and told her to go to the cafeteria and get something to eat, she would make sure she could get back in the room.
Sure glad she was there, even though all I remember was the last couple hours during check out when I was getting dressed. Talk about a dedicated woman. I owe her a lot.
