so have a 1\4 that was nearly all turned over for terraces the fall of 2024. This years soybeans were terrible where the work was done. What can i do to help production...having trouble finding manure or litter here...I wanted to go to corn as farms has been beans last 2 years but without some good fertility to add I think it would be a trainwreck?

I would start with 3 tons of gypsum. Manure and/or litter would be a big benefit. We have a fair amount of terraced land that dates all the way back to the 70's. A couple of those had so severe of cuts that they still lagged in production 30 years later. It was amazing what 2 tons of gypsum did. We spread it on a lot of our high clay soils. However, supply has become sketchy and price has increase for the product and transportation so we only target terraces today. Gypsum is a game changer for terraces. You can spread all the lime and fertilizer you want and it still will take a decade or two to recover.
