What tests are you running to measure that? I’m running some trials this year of a BIO S.I. product in furrow. I know of guys who have had good results. But I’m looking to actually measure this. Besides yield.

Garden trowel, sounds funny and in one season you might not see much, but dig around the root area. Do you see more worms, any chance in the soil structure. Again first year is hard,

In 2013 I tried a product called "farm for profit" it was amazing, you could see a big difference in worm activity, the soil felt different, had more moisture, had tilth..but it was miserable to use.

Pull a corn root out. Do you see more hair roots?
How well the soil sticks to the roots.

Bottom root, very good looking roots, but the other root ball, look at how much more root mass is in that ball. Roots are power.

Haney soil health and pfla numbers.also run a normal soil test from root zone of each area.

I bought a microbiometer kit. Let's me sample when ever where ever for about $10/ sample. Kind of a great farmer tool

I will put a couple pics of roots to show the difference of what biology can do.
