WCIL | It doesn't take much of an estate from anyone who has invested some or has accumulated some assets to trigger the tax. Part of the problem is how out of touch the city dwelling legislators are. Had some locals visit with a state rep a few years ago and they were talking about how inputs keep going up and crop prices don't always keep up. The rep said to just sell your grain at a higher price, as if we can name a price and sell it. Like gas or grocery store prices, you only have so much control. | |
