Our great state has a $4 million exemption per person or $8 million per couple. For most of us in farm country that own some land, that is the bigger tax issue vs the federal exemption.
Ouch. What is the opening bracket once exceeded? My plan above would double that amount, but may not be worth the squeeze just for state tax.
