| Manure is best but if unavailable, all the trace minerals one can and a high rate of P and K.
If it is possible, perhaps grind some cornstalk bales or other crop residue. and spread out. Give it a light discing to fasten it down.
If you put a bunch on, extra N would be a good thing. Perhaps even spray liquid N over the top after spreading the crop residue.
Here. corn will root deeper and help the soil recover faster.
Some times deep tillage can help as the ground can be compacted from the heavy machinery.
