Corn does way better the first year than beans on low fertility expiring CRP. Beans don't handle low P and low ph very well. Cut and bale the CRP on October 1st the last year of CRP. Spray Roundup on the regrowth 2-3 weeks later. Spread about 250# of potash with some elemental sulfur in the fall. About 200# of DAP, some AMS, and urea in the spring. Plant no-till and topdress more urea when knee high. Total N rate similar to corn on corn.
