Yoir scenerio may work. But i sure dont see $5 6 weights. If your getting $5 for 6 weights, im guessing youll b paying $6 for 5 weights.

We graze rye in spring, you can gain 1.5 easily enough, honestly dont think 2 lb is outa the question.

Our area guys have tried what yoir thinking but never had much luck with getting stand of rye thst way. Drilling behind silage works best in our area. If want to graze in the fall.
