I'm going to try Milestone this spring, . I've been told it has both long-lasting soil residual control and a post-emergent I can buy it at $77 a quart and planning on using full rate of 7 oz a acre, but that may be over kill for Giant ragweed, I'm trying to control Canada thistle, in fence rows waterways, ditches etc. It's supposed to be safe for grasses but I've been told to be very careful not to let drift get onto crop land.

From my experience, milestone provides excellent residual control on thistles with the residual thistle control lasting years, but poor residual on giant ragweed lasting not even a whole season.
