Every rancher I've talked to in the area is holding back every heifer now because of cattle prices.
They all say they need to grow their herds to take advantage of the market. I know a few who are renting more land now because of how much they plan to grow their herds.
If that's the common thinking, we may see cattle tank in a couple of years. and everyone I talk to thinks I'm crazy for keeping heifers like I always do. "Too high to keep em" |
