Looks like less both steers and heifers going forward.
Dairies are breeding 70 plus percent of their cows to have steers. Im not sure how recent of a development this is, but has led to a lot less heifers showing up at slaughter plants.
Edit- obviously they don't have steers, they have bulls! LOL
