NEMO | A few years ago we were breeding every heifer.
2 years ago only saved around 70.
Last year kept around 55.
Last falls Trump comments made me lose any desire to keep any heifers.
So far I still have all the weaned heifers but it's a good chance I'll sell all but 25 or 30 just to help maintain numbers even though I probably have more cows than grass.
Thinking I'll sell half the cows this spring. But that can change at any time.
Good time to sell down at these prices! Or is it??? Million dollar question. | |
