Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
Good review. TSIP stands for Trimble Standard Interface Protocol as I recall. It was Trimble's special method for their equipment such as a GPS to "talk" to other Trimble equipment. It wasn't really designed to be used with a Trimble and another brand. Only Trimble to Trimble.

Most everyone else used the NEMA arrangement. This allowed one brand to talk to another brand of equipment since they both followed the same "rules".

Since the Insight could work with Trimble's auto pilot, it needed to be able to understand TSIP. After that agreement broke off, there was no need for an Ag Leader device to use TSIP and NEMA is now the Ag Leader communication approach.
