If you dont jump the wires the ag leader has no way to actualy control the section valves. The Hagie’s come with a raven 460 with no section switches, the Hagie provides the section switch and power to the valve and provides power to the signal wire on the raven.the raven. The raven doesn’t send input to the valve like a standard 450 does.
If you do some research about older hagies there are a lot of posts regarding people having that exact issue and from what I’ve found there is no post out there that gives an answer to what the fix is. With the fix being jumping the wires. I could maybe draw up a rough sketch
