Subject: RE: Crankshaft damper replacement question. JD 8295R

Holly Hill, SC
What is the proper way of removing the damper assembly? Tried lightly prying on each side to pull off end of crank shaft. No luck. I could make a puller using a 1/2" thick circular plate with holes drilled for the outer damper. Put a short shaft or large bolt between end of crank and 1/2" plate. Use the 6 allen head bolts as they get tightened to pull the assembly off. Thoughts?
