The difficulty here, and you aren’t that far from ‘here’ so you know, is the cold soils and the overly wet soils.
Biology doesn’t get much time to work here. Too cold, too saturated.
Wish they could very accurately tell me how warm early spring will be, and how wet all summer will be. My om 9 bog with just enough tile and black dirt as deep as I can dig will mineralize or create almost enough nutrients on its own in an early dry warm spring and dry ish summer. But in a cold wet year it struggles to preform average even with a full load of nutrients applied.
There just is no easy button….
