look to basis as the indicator to real carryover issues. All through 2020 before the USDA revised feed usage up in August the local basis was always much better than normal. While the USDA continued to claim we had excellent carryover, So if there is plenty of corn why is the local elevator paying 10-20 cents smaller basis than just last year? | |
