And when it reverts to a lower trending situation, how long are you willing to set on it?
From 1980 to 2003 gold did nothing and was a huge loser compared to inflation.
Basically same situation from 2012 to 2019. Sure the last few years were great, but not sure its worth beating ones chest over it. Select stocks did similar, and went up significantly in the 2010-2020 timeframe.
I own none except a few coins.
