N.E. South Dakota | We have a 30 year old 50x64 heated and cooled shop that we do custom repair work out of. My shop has propane heat and a stand alone ac unit with duct work on the wall. My son did an addition 40x 64 onto the south side for a related business. He did in floor heat. We are in northern sd. The thing we noticed as an example, when you run a snow covered vehicle in to work on the snowmelts and creates humidity in the shop where in my shop the water runs to the floor drain. Both shops have floor drains and both are heated to 65. Only diff is the floor is warmer and it causes more evaporation. For the extra cost and our use we wouldn’t do floor heat again. | |
