Holly Hill, SC | I use my JD 4730 sprayer. Rotate all but the last nozzle body to off. Pull the plug out the end and rig up duel swivel nozzle holder. Use either a boomless tip or large orifice tip like #10 or #12. Also use the existing fense tip. Depends on what you are spraying but if you have large trees angle the nozzles horizontal and upwards and use your boom tilt to adjust spray location. Usually run on manual spray pressure around 40 psi and run around fields or over ditch with this setup every 5 years or so. Adjust speed of sprayer according to how dense the problem trees are.
For ditch banks so grasses do not die.
32 to 40oz Liberty (kills pine trees)
1/2 gal Garlon XRT (gumtree waxy)
2 oz Escort XP (vines and briers)
Maybe add some surfactant and or 25s fertilizer or AMS. | |
