Biology makes nutrients available and carbon feeds the biology

Like many others, I want that to be true, but have not seen it happen in real life, nor have I seen the research to back up that statement. What do you have to back it up.

Literally every soil science book ever written would be my backup to Marvin's statement.

the fertilizer you apply is only utilized by the plant because of biology

The idea that biology makes nutrients available isn’t a fringe theory, it’s literally the foundation of soil science.
Mineralization, immobilization, nitrification, denitrification, mycorrhizal P uptake, organic matter turnover, residue decomposition… every soil science textbook on earth describes these as biological processes
