IIRC it was 1994 and it was minus 35 F one night, worst cold we ever had, three weeks below freezing and one week never got above "0". Had a diesel VW rabbit in the shop and it was the only thing that would start, used it to get the feed tractors going which made a two hour job into an all day affair. Tractor starting was only a fraction of the problems due to cold on a dairy.
