That was only a 1 night low of -38 on the thermometer out the kitchen window. I remember it because I had mixed feed for the cows the night before and it was frozen in the mixer. We had to feed small squares of hay. I'm sure there were records set.

We have had several 5-10 day stretches that it never got above zero for a high in my life. We used to get our fuel from the coop once a month. I don't know if they added anything, but I've never seen fuel gel. At work we get 7,500 gallons at a time. In the winter there is 5 gallons of Howes poured in the hose before each unload.
