Subject: RE: Creative ways to get a boulder onto a trailer

northeastern Ohio
Years ago, I had a guy that wanted me to load a boulder onto his gooseneck trailer. Estimated weight of 10,000 pounds. Picked it up with my excavator and just as I got above the trailer, it slipped out of the thumb/bucket. It landed on the front corner of the trailer and tweaked the frame. When he came back for another, he wanted me to push down on the opposite front corner before loading another one..... It took most of the twist out....

If you can't lift it, you are going to need to slide it on or roll it on. Park the trailer so that the back end or the side is next to a bank. Or you might be able to slide it up the ramps if the trailer has ramps.
