Illinois | I’ve seen ones that old look much worse than that, but truthfully it isn’t too far off from needing major work. It’s crazy how fast these subframes rust on the hopper trailers. After having a 2009 model that I spent $20K putting a new subframe on, I started with 2 other brand new trailers and spend a lot of time before harvest on a thorough wash job and lots of cans of rust reformer paint hitting areas that show any rust. Try your best not to run them in salt. | |
