Fought a 285 for approx a year and a half that would act up multiple times a day and come back out of it and be ok for a while. Neither we nor the dealer could figure it out, became Very frustrating. Finally ended up being a bad connection/ corroded wire that ran to the fuel pump. Would show good voltage when sitting still and checked but would drop voltage bouncing around in the field.
