| in regards to the hare/tortois shifter- I ended up having a stuck spool again in that shifter. New are available, a sub'd-up number for newer series. They use 2 wire instead of the single.. so of course, an adapter pigtail is req'd. I'm gonna tear the old spool apart to see if it's cleanable, or if it's permanently crimped together.
After getting the $52 adapter in-hand, I see it's a popular connector found in any electronics outlet. Made by AMP, it's called a 'Junior Timer connector' for like 85 cents... question- when buying a plug such as these, do they come with the terminals? that may add to the cost a buck or so..
Seeing there's another 4 solenoids on this tractor that could need replacing down the road, I've found a slightly cheaper way to wire it up. I added an inline 25 micron hydraulic filter to the line feeding that spool for about 20 bucks.
