NW IL | "Not sure why they had the option for a TSIP receiver as I dont believe it was ever functional."
On the Integra the option for TSIP was carried over from the Insight. When the Insight was new there were options to run either a Trimble 252 or Trimble 262 GPS. When Integra first came out (and the relationship with Trimble ended), Ag Leader left the TSIP option available in case a customer was upgrading from an Insight but was still running a 252/262. Now, a 252/262 would not work with Integra for hydraulic steering, but it could still be used for Ontrac2 (mechanical steering) or basic product control and yield monitoring.
The "TSIP" option on Integra can work with a 372 to force connection and allow communication. The only problem is that there is no programing in the Integra to changes setting in the 372 for RTK. I think you can technically change ports A and B of a 372 with Integra, but it is not really supported by Ag Leader, and you still need a pro700 (or terminal with RDI ) to make changes to port C.
Years ago one spring I ran a 372 on RTK with Digifarm with Ag Leader Integra/Ontrac3. The Integra also ran planter functions. I first set up the 372 for RTK with a pro 700. The cellular modem was connected to Port C. Once I had an RTK fix, I moved the 372 RTK and cell modem over to planting tractor. I think I might have did a "force TSIP" connection on port A. I did not touch port B (I don't think anything was connected to port B for serial).
When the InCommand 1200/800 came out the option for TSIP communication was removed from the Ag Leader monitor.
AVP_Matt : I know you are aware of some of the points I made, but I thought I would add to the discussion to help the OP and anyone else that may read this. | |
