That is a shame, but it’s their company. It’s “allowed” because it’s not anyone else’s business who someone decides to sell something to, whether that is a bushel of grain or an entire company. The last thing we need is more government interference.
Gotta strongly disagree with this, under the first Roosevelt administration and for a few decades after strong anti-trust and monopoly legislation was passed and enforced and as a result for much of the 20th century this country flourished and became the superpower it is. Capitalism and Democracy cannot flourish and be successful long term with out ethics and a fair level playing field. Concentrating power and creating monopolies will not end well and in the long run be good for anyone, esp when they are owned/controlled by foriegn powers, esp. unfriendly ones like China.
