EC WI | High Mg in our area naturally. Below 25 BS is a big win here. The thing with P is it needs to break down to become plant avl, it ties up upon breakdown with moisture especially in high Aluminum, Mg, Fe, and high ph. Luckily P stays where it's placed. We get the P in a 2x0x2 to move with the N and moisture into the root zone. Using humic and chelates in that mix is pretty important.
So what applied dry broadcast is getting to the plant? That is the area I feel of complete darkness in the industry. I can raise soil tests, no problem. Does it makes any financial sense especially now to do so. My soil allows me to really keep dry P costs down, so far.
