There is no way the development of these varieties and traits are costing that much to develop over the course of a trait's lifetime and the collections over the lifetime of said trait.
You know this, I know this, and they know this. That's why they have patents, legal teams, and contracts for us to sign. Financially thats pretty smart on their part
