Subject: Think about this on corn seed costs

Moreauville LA
Using rough figures on 90 million acres of corn, seed at $325/bag, futures at 4.40, 32k seed per acre

11.7 Billion spent on seed

160 million or so in actual "seed/grain"

There is no way the development of these varieties and traits are costing that much to develop over the course of a trait's lifetime and the collections over the lifetime of said trait.

You can check the math. $130 on 90M is 11.7B.

I do realize there are other costs in producing, cleaning, treating, packaging and shipping. But in the grand scheme of things I think those costs are nothing in comparison, even if it is 10%
