Subject: Water softener for a chicken broiler barn- thoughts?

Wondering if it would be money well spent to put a water softner in our new chicken broiler barn? Here are our water test results:
Hardness 18gpg
Iron 3 ppm
H2S present
Ph 7.5

We were told with the type of iron the softner will remove it. Also the company we grow for will provide the salt. We need to pay for any water treatment equipment and maintenance. It would be a dual rank softner and quoted 4500. For 500 less we could do a single tank iron only removal system with peroxide injected. Peroxide would be provided.
Final option would be basically almost no cost compared to the others. Just peroxide injected and a big paper filter to change. Seeing what others have experienced after adding any type of water system with bird performance, nipple maintenance etc.. Thanks
