Wisconsin | Two hours means they either dried partway before the heat stopped, or the heat is very low (burner not on very long because of plugging, or orifice plugged). If there's an "observation port" below the door, watch through there and see what the flame does with a new load of wet clothes, and see how hot the exhaust pipe gets.
Brings up the other possibility, if the washer failed to spin out, and she didn't notice the clothes were much wetter than normal, that would do it also. | |
