Mb | I am looking for some odd stuff to seed down saline areas, and I keep coming out with about $80 an acre (canadian) in seed cost which just isnt feasible for areas that are going to produce MAYBE 2000lbs an acre on a good year. If I can cut that to 25 or 30 I'll swallow that, but at 80 I'll just abandon those areas and let them grow weeds until natural grasses move in, which will take years and look like crap. I'm wondering if i can track down producers and buy directly from them. Is there a certain percentage of seed that gets rejected? I have asked this of 2 forage seed specialist companies and got laughed at. | |
