If you don't have any heat, the first thing to check, is a "fuse" in the back side of the dryer, in the vent pipe. If it overheats, such as due to vent being partially pugged, it melts the little fuse, and now you don't have any heat. Very cheap, an easy to replace. Seems like it is about 1.25" long, an about 1/2" wide, with two screws holding it on.
