That’s another reason I think buffer strips (around yield robbing area like wet holes and treelines) would be better. Part of farms, not whole farms. Average yield would likely go up and they wouldn’t be permenant. Allowing quick return to production in the event of a failed crop nationally. A cover crop like radishes and oats that would winter kill would be a viable option IMO for us here that would allow quick return to field operations. |
