I have lodge cast and carbon steel. I like the longer handle and the lighter weight of the carbon steel for some applications. For $50ish usd you can choose between a 10 and 12 inch skillet. Even if it isn't your favorite pan it will still work on the stove top and in the oven or as a camp fry pan.
