Bottom of the Mitten | Nobody wants to deal with livestock (and deadstock because sometimes livestock and your investment dies). They're 7 days a week no matter what the weather is or what plans you have made. Everybody would rather ride around in a climate controlled cab a couple weeks in the spring and a couple weeks in the fall with a guarantee they'll get paid (crop insurance). Oh yeah, don't forget all the random payments showing up in the mailbox. That doesn't happen with livestock. Yeah, cattle are up right now for the moment but otherwise where's the incentive? | |
