Subject: I need help with a 335 magnum that is randomly cutting power when pulling it hard.

Kansas
I have a 335 magnum acting up.

I’m pulling a large vertical feed mixer 24-25 mph. Going 5.5 miles while mixing. U can tell it using power.

First day got a mile away, up a hill and it like cuts the power to less than half. Less than the old feed tractor MX200. Had to shut pto off to get over a couple hills. Shut tractor off for 30 seconds. All seemed back to normal. Then got a couple more miles further on flatter roads and it did it again. When it happens, it’s all of a sudden, not gradually.

I’m thinking plugged fuel filters. So they got changed today. Didn’t see anything dirty coming out of the old ones.

Started today’s trip of 5.5 miles and it’s running good. Even through the hills. I’m thinking I fixed it. Then at the 4.5 mile mark it does it again. Shut it off for about 10 seconds and then tried going again. This time it wasn’t any better. Shut it off for 1 minute and it starts and runs good again.

5,600 hours. Not throwing any codes.

My next try was going to loosen the fuel cap and see if that helps.

How do I fix this.
Could it be a fuel pump?
