if you have livestock you'll have deadstock, your gold should always be there in some form unless you get enough heat to vaporize it, but it won't create a now bonus mini-nugget each year either.


All true, but give me the cattle, if things all go to pot at least you can eat them, to me gold is one of the poorest investments out there (better then a time share I guess) only way to make money with it is appreciation, if things get so bad that it is the only thing left of value lead and a rifle will be worth much more then all the gold you can carry.
