We have all the storage, equipment etc. and we need to remember the knife cuts both ways, I know it would make it tough for me, as most of our land base is rented, and you know as well as I do, that if we we’re making a good payment to not farm it, lots of landlords would become farmers.
It would make feeding cattle pretty tough for me, since most of the ground around the feedlot is rented, and even though it’s a family trust, if it would make more money for the trust being idled, I’d be obligated to do that.
It’s kinda funny seeing the guys that whine about consolidation and huge farms, supporting something that would only expedite that process
