Southeast Colorado
There was a pretty decent sized one for back in its day in Walsh CO........my hometown. That is 20 miles east of Springfield. My Mom worked there for a couple of years and was part of the building process, and lasted into the start up process. The owner died in a wreck and the place failed shortly after that. The facility is still there...........but it's more like a ghost town now. Local big farmer owns it and stores fertilizer and stuff there.

There was a smaller one built down in Campo CO.........which is 20 miles south of Springfield. Those guys were part of the family that started the original Ag Strike back in the 70s. I'm not sure that place ever made a drop of ethanol. It's still there today as well...........but is used as a shop/office/etc for a custom harvesting outfit.
